Bookings for this event have now closed.
We are pleased to announce that Wayne Bramwell, Managing Director and CEO of Westgold Resources Limited will be our keynote speaker for this event.
As evidenced by Wayne Bramwell’s unquestionable acting skills playing Batman to Westrac’s Jarvas Croome’s Robin, the pair have starred in Westgold’s social media skits featuring ‘big yellow things’. Eschewing a full time acting career, Wayne has had to settle for being CEO and MD of one of Australia’s largest gold producers.
Critics of the social media campaign may say it’s just plain silly, but what they’re missing is that a leader of a company with a sense of irreverence and fun is a cornerstone element of building a great culture. It helps when the boss is human, vulnerable and approachable if you’re trying to build a great culture and this is exactly what Wayne is determined to achieve at Westgold.
Get along to the WA Mining Club lunch at Optus Stadium on Thursday 30th May where Tim McMillan will engage Wayne in a conversation to tease out how Wayne is transforming Westgold, growing production organically through improved culture and operational excellence, through the drill bit via exploration results and also via acquisition by the recent takeover of Karora.
We may even be inspired by an incredible tale of circular coincidence that led Wayne to embark on his resources industry career.
If you’ve already made other plans for that Thursday, change them and jump on the WA Mining Club website to book a seat alongside more than 300 other people that have already done so. See you there
