Member of the Month

The WA Mining Club would like to congratulate this month’s Member of the month:

Neil McKenna, the Business Development Manager at MAX Plant. With over three decades of experience in the mining industry, one of the key benefits Neil highlights about the WA Mining Club is the opportunity it provides for networking. Through the club, Neil has expanded his connections within the industry, developing relationships with existing and potential clients. Neil also values the fact the Mining Club gives him the opportunity to learn from like-minded professionals and enhancing his skill set as a Business Development Manager.

Neil’s journey into the mining industry started as a diesel fitter by a family friend at EMECO. Reflecting on his career, Neil acknowledges the influence of several bosses, particularly highlighting John Court and James Moore. However, it’s his current boss, whom he regards more as a friend and colleague, that has made his work life enjoyable, especially at this stage of his career.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Neil’s interests extend to the realm of music. If given the chance, he would invite legends like Bon Scott, George Thorogood, and Bruce Springsteen to dinner.

Neil McKenna’s story resonates deeply within our mining community. His dedication, experience, and camaraderie epitomize the values we hold dear at the WA Mining Club. As we celebrate Neil as our Member of the Month, let us also celebrate the collective spirit of excellence and collaboration that defines our vibrant community. Congratulations, Neil McKenna, on this well-deserved recognition.
