Tania is on the front lines, pushing back against policies that threaten the sector—fighting for a strong, competitive, and future-focused mining industry. With WA’s resources sector driving the national economy, mining should be positioned for growth, not held back by mounting regulatory pressure, tax battles, and industrial relations upheaval. At a time when global competitors are moving fast, the MCA is working to secure policies that keep Australia’s mining industry strong and competitive.

Before leading the MCA, Tania was CEO of CO2CRC, a global leader in carbon capture and storage research. She has also held senior executive roles in the Australian Government, advising on oil and gas regulation, mining policy, and energy development. Her distinguished career includes serving as Australia’s Joint Commissioner and Sunrise Commissioner for the Greater Sunrise Project with Timor-Leste.
