WA Mining Club and Covid19

After consulting with many of our stakeholders, we decided to postpone our regular luncheon series.

The safety and wellbeing of all our members and attendees is of paramount importance and our top priority.

For many of us, the current events are causing significant challenges and uncertainty for our businesses. However, one thing we know with certainty, is that our industry has prospered through its ability to innovate, adapt and utilise new technologies.  Although we may not be able to meet face to face for a while, we can and should find alternative ways to maintain and grow our business relationships. A good place to start is the telephone. we encourage members to make concrete plans to call five or ten Club members over the next few weeks to strengthen the bonds, and to make new ones.

Our Club was formed in 1972 by a group of geologists – many of whom were driving taxis for a living – who thought that by meeting regularly they could help each other get through the tough economic times of the day. If we adopt a similar spirit now, our industry will continue to prosper. If your Club can help in any way, or you can help a fellow member, please do get in touch.
