Young Professionals – Mining in the 21st Century – Exploring Social Licence

Event - Young Professionals – Mining in the 21st Century – Exploring Social Licence

The WA Mining Club Young Professionals are going digital!

In light of COVID-19 restrictions the WAMC YP are embracing streaming as a format with their first ever livestreamed panel discussion: social licence to operate in the resources sector. This event will give young professionals the opportunity to hear from and directly engage with some of the industry’s leading minds on environmental, social and governance issues.

Our inspiring panellists for this event include:

Amanda Lacaze: CEO & Managing Director, Lynas Corporation Ltd

Paul Everingham: CEO, The Chamber of Minerals and Energy of WA

Ivan Vella: Managing Director of Port, Rail and Core Services, Rio Tinto

Sam Retallack: Head of People & Culture, Independence Group

We are excited to hear from these incredible role models and advocates for the industry, who’ll each share very different perspectives and a wealth of knowledge on what social licence to operate really means and how mining companies are working to understand stakeholder expectations, and build and maintain positive relationships with the communities in which they operate.
