Steve, well known in the West Australian resource industry, served on the committee for 6 years, and was president from 2003 – 2005.
During his tenure, the current club logo was adopted, and the all-important scholarship scheme was launched. The St Barbara’s Day memorial bench was placed at UWA and the much-improved Minesite newsletter came to life.
He leaves behind his wife of fifty years, Suellen.
Steve was semi-retired, in his seventies but still strong, determined and in good health when this occurred.
