Our Code of Conduct outlines the expectations and standards of behaviour and conduct required of all Participants attending WA Mining Club Events.
By attending a WA Mining Club Event, the Participant agrees to abide by this Code of Conduct.
The Club’s networking events provide valuable opportunities for professionals to connect, learn, and collaborate. To ensure a positive and respectful environment, Participants are expected to behave in accordance with this Code of Conduct. Participants are also required to comply with the Event venue’s policies (where applicable).
Expected behaviours:
By adhering to this Code of Conduct, we will create a positive networking experience that benefits all Participants. Let’s build strong connections, learn from each other, and contribute to the success of our industry!
Unacceptable behaviour will not be tolerated at any Event. Anyone asked to stop unacceptable behaviour is expected to comply immediately.
If a Participant engages in unacceptable behaviour, the Club may take any action it deems appropriate, including warning or expelling the offender from the Event.
The Club reserves the right to exclude any Participant found to be breaching this Code of Conduct from participating in any further Club Events on a temporary or permanent basis. All members should be aware that a serious or repeated breach of this Code of Conduct could result in a reprimand, suspension or revocation of membership.
If you encounter unacceptable behaviour – speak up!
If you are subjected to unacceptable behaviour, notice that someone else is being subjected to unacceptable behaviour or have any other concerns, please notify the Club’s event staff or contact a member of the Club’s Committee as soon as possible. The Club will offer support, give careful consideration to your concern and take steps to resolve it.
If you raise a concern during an Event, Club Event staff and Committee members will be available to offer support to those experiencing unacceptable behaviour.
Inappropriate behaviour involving any members will be raised with the Executive Committee who will seek to resolve the matter in accordance with the Club’s values, Rules of Association and Bylaws as amended from time to time.
Events includes, but is not limited to, lunches. dinners, sundowners, virtual presentations, meetings, social gatherings, any other activity organised by the WAMC and any related activity on social media.
Participant includes, but is not limited to, members of the Club, guests, speakers, sponsors, volunteers, staff or any other attendee to one of the Club’s events.
WA Mining Club Inc, the Club or WAMC are equivalent terms.
The WA Mining Club Young Professionals aspires to drive diversification and innovation within the mining industry, through creation of a forum that supports development and retention of young professionals. We will establish a career-long network of individuals who are building their careers in mining.
Members of the WA Mining Club receive access to a broad range of industry speakers, who discuss technical, operational, legislative and regulatory matters, as well as sharing thoughts on the broader industry.
Our monthly luncheons are regularly attended by in excess of 300 members, all eager to listen, talk and share information about their experiences with their industry peers.
Being a member of the WA Mining Club provides the very best opportunity around to meet other industry professionals and discuss topical issues, challenges and innovations with others across the spectrum of the Western Australian mining industry.
