The WAMC Young Professionals third sundowner of 2022 will provide a snapshot of innovative and disruptive technologies entering the mining industry, and dive into their development, impact, and benefit to the industry and beyond. Each of the panellists are experienced in their specialised field of ‘future’ technology; from data analytics and acquisition, to contactless, non-destructive drill core sample analysis.

This sundowner will create an engaging and relatable discussion about upcoming technologies and the innovation that our emerging young professionals will be stepping into. Particularly as the current world environment creates drivers and demand for addressing new community and industry challenges.

Since its inception in 2018, the WAMC Young Professionals sundowners provide an inclusive environment where fellow like-minded professionals of all ages can collaborate and network, facilitating future innovations and growth in the mining industry.

Our Panellists for this event are:


Callum Rideout, MBA (Moderator)
Technical Acccount Manager, Micromine

Callum Rideout has 11 years of experience in the Resource Sector. He is the Senior Mining Solutions Manager at Micromine Australia where his role includes working alongside clients to design successful technology implementations. Callum worked as a Geologist specialising in Core and Log Analysis within the Energy Sector, before transitioning into Business Analyst and Product Management for Mining Technologies in 2018. Callum holds a MBA, B.Com (Finance), and B.Sci (Applied Geology).


Mikael Arthursson
Chief Technology Officer, Co-Founder, Minalyze

Mikael is Chief Technology Officer and co-founder of Minalyze, where Mikael is in charge of development of hardware and software solutions driving real-time digitalization, analysis and interpretation of drill samples. Mikael has an engineering and entrepreneurship background and more than 10 years of experience in pioneering digitalization of the value chain in the mining and resources industry.


Deepshika Mungree
Director – Data and AI, Deloitte

Deepshika is a Director in Deloitte Australia and a leader in our Data & AI team. She has 14 years’ experience, and is responsible for shaping, designing and delivering complex Data & AI projects. She helps clients across the full spectrum of Data & AI capabilities, from Data Strategy, to Data Management, to Data Modelling and Analytics. Deepshika has delivered outcomes for Energy and Resources clients with a unique perspective on how these industries must unleash the power of data and decision making. 


Richard Rowe
Senior Enterprise Account Executive, Fleet Space Technologies

Richard has over 18 years of experience supporting companies in mining, transport, agriculture, and energy to solve complex business challenges using technology. Before joining Fleet, he spent 10 years working with WesTrac (Caterpillar), 5 years working with acQuire Technology (Geoscience Information Management), and 3 years with Connect Source leading product and marketing of Technology Solutions.
