LIVESTREAM – Market Outlook 2026

Event - LIVESTREAM – Market Outlook 2026

This is a LIVESTREAMED version of this event – booking into this version of the event does not give you a seat at the luncheon.

Well, 2025 was certainly an interesting year and 2026 has the makings of being even interestinger …….

The world has officially gone bonkers – we’ve got frayed trade relationships and tariffs, a multitude of armed conflicts and most recently a US led Venezuelan leadership extraction, attempts at re-shaping energy policy away from fossil fuels in timeframes that don’t allow for the mining of the stuff to make the ‘renewable’ apparatus, ongoing general opposition to uranium mining and nuclear power generation across Australia, AI running rampant and largely unregulated, new sources of iron ore coming on stream and challenges to existing pricing methods out of China, signs of Indonesian nickel producers being held to a modicum of environmental standards, critical mineral supply chain gyrations, the inflation genie resisting efforts to get back in the bottle, all sorts of government tinkering in industrial relations policy, environmental regulations and cherry picking winners in the critical minerals space and the propping up of domestic smelting operations as energy costs continue to soar. Little wonder the gold price has gone ballistic, with silver and copper also getting in on the act, lithium and nickel maybe finding a pulse, uranium holding firm, and a vast dispersion in the outlook for iron ore. If you’re not a little punch drunk by all this, you probably should be.

So what does this all mean for Australia’s resources sector? What are the key trends expected to emerge? Which commodities will be the winners throughout 2026? Where will most exploration funding be directed? How can Australian states climb back up the Fraser institute league ladder? So many questions. Luckily for you, we’ve assembled an expert panel to try to make sense of it all and try to shed some light on it all.

Your panel for this year: Sean Russo (MD Noah’s Rule), Stacey Golokin (Director – Investor Relations NexGen Energy Ltd) and Scott North (Founder Kamoa Capital). A crack squad of incredibly knowledgeable people from diverse industry backgrounds – the discussion promises to be lively, insightful and informative. Given this year’s Market Outlook luncheon is Twiggerless, we promised to let you know when we’d pinned down our replacement event facilitator.

Drum roll …….. we are very pleased to announce Luke Allum (Senior Analyst @ Project Blue, www.projectblue.com) as our esteemed facilitator for the event. With a reasonably similar accent to Liam Twigger, being fresh off the plane from the mother country and quite new to Perth, Luke has slotted in seamlessly to his new life in our fair city and will bring a burst of youthful exuberance to the gig (apologies Liam). Having withstood the intense summer heat and equally intense ribbing from locals (including yours truly) about the Ashes cricket results, we figure he’s made of enough of the right stuff to be ready to jump straight into the furnace of facilitating a WA Mining Club lunch!

We’d love to see all your smiling faces in the room as we kick off what is promising to be an incredible program of speakers for 2026! Don’t leave it late as these can sell out – bookings open until sold out or the Thursday prior to the event (29th Jan).
