Global decarbonisation commitments have created demand that dwarfs supply, approval timeframes lengthen, ESG expectations favour ethical over maximum supply. Governments fret over the concentration of downstream processing in China and are formulating strategy responses, such as the Australian Critical Minerals Strategy.
