Event - LIVESTREAM – 2026 July 23rd Luncheon

Aaron Morey’s LinkedIn profile lists experience spanning economics, politics and strategy in complex policy, political and commercial environments. He heads up the Chamber of Minerals and Energy WA, whose brief is to engage in economic research and policy development activities across a range of social, environmental, workforce and business competitiveness issues. In the current local, federal and global political environment I’m tipping that Aaron doesn’t have his feet up on his desk wondering how to fill in his days …..   

The topic of Aaron’s presentation was discussed during a promising ceasefire between the US and Iran, however things have gotten a little testy since then, with ongoing tit for tat exchanges threatening to reignite the conflict. By the time July 23^rd rolls around, the title may need to alter to “A Global Perspective in an Evolving Hormuz  World”. The lunch will feature a presentation by Aaron followed by a fireside ‘ask me anything’ chat with Tim McMillan. Given the headline topic, the CMEWA’s stated policy areas and the fact that Aaron is an accomplished and engaging speaker, there is no doubt that you will leave the room much wiser than when you entered and you’ll also be more useful at work and more interesting at dinner parties.
