Be at Optus Stadium on Thursday 28th and prepare to be Barnestormed when Bronwyn Barnes joins us ex London to catch us up on her globetrotting adventures since joining Ivanhoe Atlantic almost three years ago. Bronwyn (no relation to Jimmy – I checked ….) is a one-woman industry powerhouse who has been on more boards than Mick Fanning ! Kinda leaves you a little breathless and with general feelings of inadequacy. So how on earth does someone with an arts degree from UWA double majoring in French and Medieval History get to do the things she’s doing ? And how do you win an international court battle against the Tanzanian government AND get paid the $90m owing ? Hint – somebody told her it couldn’t be done ….

You’ll also likely learn Bronwyn’s considered views on many matters, from critical mineral supply chains and in particular with a US focus, relative challenges between mining in Australia versus Africa (given even more import against the backdrop of WA plummeting from 4th to 17th in the recent Fraser Institute polling), the world of African iron ore and the Guinean Simandou Pilbara Killer Project, perhaps some views on defence policy (Aukus), what it’s like to orbit in the worlds of billionaires (Twiggy and Robert Friedland) and  we may even tease out some wisdom from a book she’s authored that includes a chapter titled ‘Building Your Brave’. If we’re lucky we may even hear about Bronwyn’s ‘hobby’ of interpreting ancient medieval scripts (as one does) ….. there’s probably 10 lunches worth of interesting stuff to get through so Timmy Mac will certainly have his work cut out with this fireside chat …..
