Why are you seeking a position on the WA Mining Club Committee?
I’m seeking a position on the WA Mining Club Committee because I genuinely care about the role the Club plays in shaping and connecting our industry.
Through my time leading the Young Professionals Advisory Committee, I saw firsthand the impact the Club can have, not just as a networking platform, but as a driver of meaningful conversations, industry alignment and future leadership. That experience has made me want to contribute at a broader level.
I see an opportunity to build on that foundation by strengthening engagement across all levels of the industry, from emerging talent through to senior leaders, while ensuring the Club continues to evolve alongside a changing mining landscape.
From a personal perspective, I’m at a stage in my career where I want to give back more deliberately. I’ve built strong relationships across the WA mining sector, and I’m motivated to use that network, along with my commercial mindset, to support the Club’s growth and relevance.
Ultimately, I’m looking to contribute, not just participate, by bringing energy, ideas and a willingness to help drive outcomes that benefit both members and the broader industry.
Please outline the skills, experience, and perspectives you would bring to the Committee:
I bring a combination of commercial acumen, industry connectivity and a practical understanding of how the WA mining sector operates across both site and corporate environments.
Through my role at Zenith Search, I work closely with mining companies across owners, contractors and consultancies, giving me real-time insight into market conditions, leadership capability, workforce trends and the challenges impacting growth and performance. This provides a broad, cross-sectional view of the industry that I can bring into Committee discussions.
My earlier operational experience on site gives me a grounded perspective on the realities of mining, while my current role has strengthened my ability to think commercially, influence stakeholders and drive outcomes.
Having previously served as Chair of the Young Professionals Advisory Committee at the WA Mining Club, I also bring experience in governance, stakeholder engagement and delivering initiatives that resonate with members.
I would contribute a perspective that balances strategic thinking with execution, focused on engagement, relevance and ensuring the Club continues to connect people in a way that genuinely adds value to the industry.

The WA Mining Club Emerging Professionals aspires to drive diversification and innovation within the mining industry, through creation of a forum that supports development and retention of young professionals. We will establish a career-long network of individuals who are building their careers in mining.
Members of the WA Mining Club receive access to a broad range of industry speakers, who discuss technical, operational, legislative and regulatory matters, as well as sharing thoughts on the broader industry.
Our monthly luncheons are regularly attended by in excess of 300 members, all eager to listen, talk and share information about their experiences with their industry peers.
Being a member of the WA Mining Club provides the very best opportunity around to meet other industry professionals and discuss topical issues, challenges and innovations with others across the spectrum of the Western Australian mining industry.
