Why are you seeking a position on the WA Mining Club Committee?
I want to join the committee because I truly value how the WA Mining Club brings people together from all corners of the industry. It’s rare to find a space that connects so many different perspectives, and I think that sense of community is exactly what we need to keep the sector moving forward.
I’m also a big believer in the work the club does to open doors for the next generation. Whether it’s creating solid training pathways with industry partners or helping school leavers find their first entry point, these initiatives are a game changer. In a part of the world where resources and talent are stretched thin, it’s more important than ever to make sure people feel invited along for the journey. My own business is focused on training and mentoring the next generation of project professionals in the resource project delivery space. I’d love the chance to jump in, share what I’ve learned in my own journey and help make those career paths even more accessible for those just starting out.
Please outline the skills, experience, and perspectives you would bring to the Committee:
I’ve had the opportunity to work across various sectors including Iron Ore, Lithium, Gold, and Bauxite, which has given me a broad view of how different parts of our industry operate. My experience covers the full project lifecycle, from the early study phases where I love helping clients set their projects up for success, through to execution and final handover.
Whether it’s greenfield developments or brownfield sustaining capital and maintenance, I’ve managed Civil, SMP, and EIC delivery from both the contractor and client sides. This dual perspective helps me understand the pressures and goals of everyone involved in a build.
What I’d love to bring to the Committee:
Industry Connections: Because I’m closely linked with various contracting organizations, I can help facilitate site visits and tours of delivery facilities. I think there is huge value in showing people the tangible work shaping the future of WA mining.
Mentorship & Innovation: I’m genuinely passionate about mentoring the next generation. I enjoy sharing my lived experience while staying curious about the new tools and technologies that are changing how we deliver projects.
Commercial Grounding: Having managed P&L for a major Tier 1 contractor and now for my own business, I bring a solid financial understanding that I can apply to the club’s own operations and strategic planning.
I’m eager to use this mix of technical, commercial, and people-focused experience to support the club’s mission and help our members grow.

The WA Mining Club Emerging Professionals aspires to drive diversification and innovation within the mining industry, through creation of a forum that supports development and retention of young professionals. We will establish a career-long network of individuals who are building their careers in mining.
Members of the WA Mining Club receive access to a broad range of industry speakers, who discuss technical, operational, legislative and regulatory matters, as well as sharing thoughts on the broader industry.
Our monthly luncheons are regularly attended by in excess of 300 members, all eager to listen, talk and share information about their experiences with their industry peers.
Being a member of the WA Mining Club provides the very best opportunity around to meet other industry professionals and discuss topical issues, challenges and innovations with others across the spectrum of the Western Australian mining industry.
